We made some time in order to visit the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, which was a really worthy decision. Suffused with yellow light, the side altars were covered with flowers while votive candles placed in red, green and yellow jars were giving us a fairy tale effect.The ceiling was decorated with panelled portraits of the apostles, above the central altar with its 4 carved screens, the apse ceiling has paintings of 5 female saints with Saint Lucy in the middle. If you want to visit, the cathedral is located between Laborie and Peynier Streets.
